Seminar Content
"Principles of Large AC Motors" is highly rated by attendees. The seminar and its companion 391-page manual were produced by Austin Bonnett, EASA's education and technology consultant, in collaboration with EASA's Technical Support Specialists.

While the course covers horizontal and vertical squirrel-cage induction motors in the 300 to 5,000 horsepower range, low and medium voltage, most of the principles covered apply to other sizes as well. The material is relevant to North American and international standards.

Seminar Leaders

Tom Bishop, P.E., is an EASA technical support specialist who has more than 34 years of experience in the electrical apparatus industry. He has chaired EASA's Technical Services Committee for 10 years. He also writes technical articles for EASA's newsletter, CURRENTS, as well as for the trade press.

Kent Henry

Technical Support Specialist Kent Henry worked in the electrical equipment repair industry for 30 years before joining the staff of EASA in 2008. He began his career as an apprentice in Galesburg, Illinois, where he learned everything from disassembly to winding. Prior to joining EASA's staff, he was service manager in Peoria, Illinois, for seven years.

The registration fee is $409 per person ($459 if payment is received after the Discount Deadline.)* This includes lunch both days, coffee/soda breaks, and instructional materials. Travel, lodging and other expenses are the responsibility of attendees.
